Disney’s The Little Mermaid
November 3-12, 2017

In a magical kingdom beneath the sea, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved stories and the classic animated film, Disney’s The Little Mermaid is a hauntingly beautiful love story for the ages. With music by eight-time Academy Award winner, Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater and a compelling book by Doug Wright, this fishy fable will capture your heart with its irresistible songs, including “Under the Sea,” “Kiss the Girl” and “Part of Your World.”

The Miracle Worker
February 23-March 4, 2018

This four time Tony Award winning play tells the story of Annie Sullivan and her student, blind and mute Helen Keller. The Miracle Worker dramatizes the volatile relationship between the lonely teacher and her charge. Trapped in a secret, silent world, unable to communicate, Helen is violent; spoiled; almost sub-human and treated by her family as such. Only Annie realizes that there is a mind and spirit waiting to be rescued from the dark, tortured silence. With scenes emotional dynamism, Annie’s success with Helen finally comes with the utterance of a single, glorious word: “water”.

You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown!
April 6-15, 2018

Charles Schultz’s beloved comic strip comes to life on the Young Actors Theatre stage in a delightful musical that celebrates a piece of Americana.  This average day in the life of Charlie Brown is a day made up of little moments picked from all the days of Charlie Brown. Join your favorite characters, from Sally to Linus to Peppermint Patty, as they dance and sing their way from Valentine’s Day to the baseball season, from wild optimism to utter despair, all strung together on the string of a single day, from bright uncertain morning to hopeful starlit evening.

Pippin the Musical
June 22-July 1, 2018

After failing out as a warrior, Pippin, son of Charlemagne, is encouraged by a band of players to set out on an adventure to discover passion and the meaning of life.  The journey of self-discovery sends the impressionable Pippin through trials and tribulations from childhood to adulthood. His quest to be extraordinary is set to an unforgettable score by musical theatre giant Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell). Pippin feels utterly current, asking us where we can look to find light through darkness and hope through uncertainty. Pippin finds that happiness lies not in extraordinary endeavors, but rather in the un- extraordinary moments that happen every day.
