Have you ever wanted to write and create your own film? If the answer is yes, our Film class is perfect for you!
This year, students will have the opportunity to write their own screenplays each semester, with assistance from Sam Sachs. Once approved, the entire class will audition for parts, and then will have the opportunity to shoot the film with Todd Teagarden. This class is perfect for students who are looking to gain experience in front of and behind the camera. At the end of the school year, two films will be presented. Register today!
6th-12th grade - Tuesdays, 6:15-7:45pm Instructors: Sam Sachs & Todd Teagarden Sam Sachs is a Young Actors Theatre (c/o 2001) alum and a 2007 graduate of the University of Miami film school. Sachs spent five years pursuing a career in entertainment in Los Angeles, where she gained experience as a development intern, a literary assistant and worked on a network television sitcom.
Todd Teagarden (Technical Director) Todd has a MA in film directing from Regent University. Over the years Todd has called Chicago and New York home; where he worked for Tribeca Film Festival, and The Juilliard School. In 2014 Todd began designing Lights and Sets for Young Actors Theatre, as well as teaching the Film and TV class.
$50 registration fee $405 per semester Fall semester begins Tuesday, September 6th, 2022
